About
Hi, I’m Josh. I create dynamic, equitable, and intuitive experiences for the screen and beyond. I love designing for possible futures and speculating through the ambiguous.
Outside of design, I enjoy shaping sounds through electronic music. When I’m not in front of a computer or a synth, I’m making things irl.
Let’s build something together.

What’s substance without a little style?
I'm always looking for ways to push the boundaries of what's expected vs. novel in order to create unique and immersive experiences. Within every project is an opportunity to build a design language that represents the essence of that brand and speak directly to the target audience(s). -
Ambiguity is the sandbox of opportunity.
The process of ideation is a meditative experience for me. Running through scenarios, styles, and variations, creates a wealth of inspiration and direction. This rapidfire approach can at times feel messy, but when given the space, I find is invaluable to driving innovation and success in any project. Paired with the ambition to explore and experiment with different approaches creates a skillset that can help any team uncover exciting new possibilities and achieve their objectives. -

Getting into the weeds and uncovering, then fixing edge cases is the :chef’s kiss: of design. I have a decade of experience organizing and running qualitative and quantitative user testing/feedback sessions. When the client doesn’t want to pay for it, we get clever and do guerilla testing because it ain’t nothing without that data. -
I love being an IC, but certain projects require a bird’s eye view.
Years as an IC with a keen eye for detail and a strong aesthetic sense help me to guide teams towards creating compelling visuals within a design system. Balancing a broader perspective with detailed reviews and 1:1 direction retains cohesion and vision throughout the span of a project. Sometimes it takes getting into the weeds with team members, stakeholders, and clients, in order to foster a collaborative environment, and further enable creativity and innovation. -
Work is work, but your team is who makes it worthwhile.
Whether I’m leading or on production duty, I create safe spaces, ample avenues for exploration, and an atmosphere of camaraderie because we’re not robots. My team is my family and it’s no coincidence that my best projects were with people who were supported, praised, and allowed to be their best selves.
